Tennessee Gift Tax Repeal

In a move widely viewed as beneficial to taxpayers and facilitating lifetime estate planning, the Tennessee Legislature passed legislation repealing the Tennessee Gift Tax retroactively to January 1, 2012. Once this bill is signed by the Governor, the state of Connecticut will be the only state that has a state gift tax.
