Five Attorneys Named Shareholders in the Firm
Stephen D. Barham, Christina L. Mack, Alix C. Michel, Michael J. Stewart and David J. Ward have become shareholders in the law firm of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C.
Mr. Barham concentrates his practice on product liability, long term care defense, general litigation, medical malpractice defense, and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. He is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, as well as the American, Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations. Mr. Barham earned his law degree from the University of Virginia.
Ms. Mack focuses her practice on product liability defense, business litigation and intellectual property litigation. She is licensed to practice in Tennessee and Illinois, and is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, as well as the American, Federal, Tennessee, and Chattanooga Bar Associations. Ms. Mack graduated with high honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law and then served a one-year judicial clerkship for the Honorable Jefferson L. Lankford of the Arizona Court of Appeals.
Mr. Michel is a member of the firm's litigation section, focusing his practice on general litigation, personal injury, professional malpractice defense, long term care defense, and product liability. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Florida and before the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. Mr. Michel graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where he served as Adjunct Professor in the Litigation Skills Program from 1995 to 2005.
Mr. Stewart is a member of the firm's business section and concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate transactions, commercial lending, condominium and residential development, land use and general business law. He also serves as the town attorney for the Town of Walden, Tennessee. Mr. Stewart received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee, where he served as a member of the Tennessee Law Review.
Mr. Ward concentrates his practice on professional malpractice defense, long term care defense, product liability, insurance defense and arbitration. He has an active trial practice and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit. He is a member of the American, Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations and the Scenic City Civitan Club. Mr. Ward earned his law degree from Memphis State University.
