Dana B. Perry Elected as President and Managing Shareholder

Feb. 12, 2009

Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. is pleased to announce the election of Dana B. Perry as the firm's new President and Managing Shareholder. She succeeds Michael N. St. Charles, who served in this capacity for a decade and now resumes the full-time practice of real estate law.

In her new role, Ms. Perry will be responsible for leading the firm's management team and implementing firm policies and strategic initiatives. Ms. Perry has been with the firm since 1988, focusing her practice on estate planning, elder law and special needs trust planning. She previously chaired the taxation and wealth preservation practice section within the firm and continues to serve on the firm's executive committee.

Ms. Perry actively participates in several civic and professional organizations, including the Chattanooga Estate Planning Council, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Special Needs Planners, and the American, Tennessee and Chattanooga Bar Associations. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for elder law, and is certified as an elder law specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization.  She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Chattanooga.

“Dana is an excellent choice for president and managing shareholder,” notes outgoing president Mike St. Charles, who oversaw the firm’s successful 1997 merger and its subsequent growth.  “Over two decades, Dana has built a successful practice while maintaining leadership positions at the firm and within organizations in the community. Her leadership skills and commitment to excellence promise to make her an outstanding managing shareholder."
