Seven Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel Attorneys Recognized as Outstanding Pro Bono Volunteers

Seven Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel attorneys were recognized as "Outstanding Volunteers" at the annual Pro Bono Night hosted by the Chattanooga Bar Association and Legal Aid of East Tennessee on May 26, 2011.
Charles Aiken, Bill Carriger, John Critchfield, Yousef Hamadeh, Aaron Love, Luke Neder and Amanda Ray were among 30 Chattanooga attorneys recognized for volunteering over 20 pro bono hours in the past year.
Since its founding in 1886, the firm has placed a high emphasis on its attorneys volunteering their service for the community. The firm strongly encourages pro bono service. Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel Attorney Bruce C. Bailey was instrumental in helping the Chattanooga Bar Association start its Pro Bono program. For his efforts, the award for Pro Bono Attorney of the Year is named in his honor. Another of the firm's attorneys, Muecke Barker, former Chief Justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court, has been recognized for his pro bono contributions by having the Access to Justice Award named for him.
