Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C., a Chattanooga-based firm, is pleased to announce that Alix C. Michel and David J. Ward have recently joined the firm as Of Counsel.

Michel joins the firm's litigation practice where he will focus on long term care defense, medical malpractice, general litigation and product liability defense.  Michel earned his undergraduate degree from Fordham University in 1983, and he graduated cum laude in 1988 from the University of Miami School of Law, where he served as Adjunct Professor in the Litigation Skills Program from 1995-2005.  Prior to joining the firm, Michel practiced as an attorney in Miami and is currently only licensed in Florida.

Ward also joins the firm's litigation group and will focus his practice on long term care defense and professional liability.  Ward received his law degree from Memphis State University in 1988, and he earned his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University in 1985.  Ward is currently licensed in Tennessee and is a member of the American, Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations.  Prior to joining the firm, he practiced for 17 years with another local law firm.
