Hugh J. Moore
Of Counsel
Hugh Moore is a member of the firm's litigation section, where he has an active trial practice focusing on business litigation, criminal law, antitrust and trade regulation and airport law.
In 2011, Mr. Moore was honored with a resolution from the Tennessee Supreme Court, thanking him for 15 years of work on the Supreme Court Commission on the Rules of Practice and Procedure Committee and for his 10 years of service as chair of this committee.
Representative Matters
- Represented a manufacturer in the defense of more than 600 asbestos injury lawsuits
- Represented a publicly traded corporation in defense of civil and criminal antitrust charges
- Represented a national corporation in a lawsuit against its workers compensation insurer, alleging deficiencies in claims handling
- Represented defendants in white collar criminal cases
- Represented indigent defendants in death penalty cases
- Represented a class in a successful challenge to payment of benefits by a governmental entity, resulting in a substantial judgment
- Represented a manufacturer in a successful challenge to liability for prior use of a landfill for disposal of industrial waste.
