Kurt J. Faires
Of Counsel
Kurt Faires is a member of the firm's Business and Real Estate Sections. He concentrates his practice on corporate law, commercial real estate, family business transactions, business planning and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Faires serves on the firm's government affairs, marketing and innovations committees. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Faires was a business owner, investor and advisor, focusing on business turnarounds, family business transactions and private equity.
Representative Matters
- Represents clients in asset and stock acquisitions and sales
- Represents clients in purchase and refinancing transactions involving multi-family apartments, some with HUD guaranties
- Assists numerous companies in obtaining Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) tax abatements for new or expanded manufacturing facilities
- Advises business start-ups on organizational and strategic issues
