With an emphasis on administering decedents' estates and trusts, Mr. Thomas handles matters related to estate planning, probate and trust representation.

 

 

 

Representative Matters

  • Represented executors and administrators of decedents' estates, trustees, and estate and trust beneficiaries.  Representation has ranged from estates and trusts valued at millions of dollars to small trusts and insolvent estates.  Probate and trust representation has encompassed legal and tax aspects of estate and trust administrations, including representation in the courts and advice and tax return preparation relative to estate taxes, generation-skipping transfer taxes, and income taxes of estates and trusts
  • Represented individuals in their estate planning.  Representation has covered legal and tax aspects of wealth transfer and disability planning, including document preparation, advice on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes, and gift tax return preparation.  Estate planning representation has ranged from persons with assets valued at millions of dollars to persons with assets valued at a few thousand dollars.
