Representative Matters
- Defended two class action lawsuits brought against Tennessee financial institutions charged with violating the Tennessee Title Pledge Act and the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act. Successfully argued at the trial court that class actions are not available under the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act
- Defended the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) class action in the Southern District of New York United States District Court. Matter was successfully defended so that plaintiff accepted de minimus settlement
- Coordinating Counsel for Defendants in Multi-District Litigation in pharmaceutical class actions including Baycol, Fen-Phen, Oxycontin, Propulsid, Rezulin, and Vioxx.
