Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel has extensive experience defending manufacturers of industrial and consumer products, representing clients before state and federal courts throughout the country. In addition to appearing before numerous arbitration panels and regulatory bodies, we provide counsel and advice on a variety of issues, such as document retention, warnings contents, intellectual property, and design review. Our recent work includes:
- Obtained a defense verdict for a heavy equipment manufacturer in a wrongful death action in the United States District Court in Los Angeles
- Obtained a defense verdict for a consumer safety manufacturer in a catastrophic, permanent brain injury claim in St. Louis
- Successfully defended a manufacturer in state and federal courts in matters involving specialized equipment for building roads, mines, and quarries
- Obtained a defense verdict for an international computer manufacturer in a multi-million dollar lawsuit in federal court in Chattanooga
- Conducted mock trials and focus groups in the defense of catastrophic injury cases for use in mediation and trial
- Served as regional and coordinating counsel for a multi-national insurer in fen-phen litigation, including state and federal multi-district class actions
- Obtained dismissal of suit against manufacturer arising out of asphalt plant explosion in Northern California
- Obtained dismissal of wrongful death suit against equipment manufacturer arising out of construction accident.
